ITSM Academy Introduces Newest ITIL® Certification Course – ITIL Practitioner

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — May 10, 2016 – ITSM Academy, a twelve year veteran in IT Service Management (ITSM) training, announced the introduction of ITIL Practitioner certification course to their extensive catalog.

“At ITSM Academy, we develop all of our ITIL materials in-house.  We are particularly excited about this new course, as it’s unlike anything else in the existing ITIL Qualification Scheme,” said Lisa Schwartz, Co-Founder and COO, ITSM Academy.  “ITIL Foundation enables IT professionals to learn the basics of ITSM (the what) and the business value of well-designed and delivered services (the why).  Leveraging candidates’ existing ITIL knowledge, our ITIL Practitioner course goes beyond the what and the why and provides practitioners a methodical way (the how) to use the ITIL guidance to improve new or existing services or processes.”

The course is extremely experiential and will provide ITSM Academy alumni tangible knowledge they can take back and translate into results.

“ITIL Practitioner, the latest addition to the ITIL portfolio, is a demanding qualification that requires the training organizations to really play to their strengths when developing the course materials and delivering the courses. We are very happy to see ITSM Academy among our partners who have added ITIL Practitioner to their course offerings already,” said Kaimar Karu, Head of ITSM, AXELOS. “We believe the practical nature of the training allows ITSM Academy to truly leverage their 10+ years of experience in delivering value to their customers with ITIL courses on all levels.”

Throughout this sixteen (16) hour case study-based course participants learn about and then apply nine guiding principles to the planning and implementation of service improvements. Participants also gain a practical understanding of how three critical competencies – Organizational Change Management, Communication, and Measurement and Metrics – contribute to improvement initiatives.  Students will also learn how to leverage practices from outside the ITIL core, such as DevOps and Agile.

A new publication, ITIL Practitioner Guidance, has been developed as support for this new qualification.

The ITIL Foundation certificate is a prerequisite for the ITIL Practitioner certification. For more information on the new course, please contact 1-888-872-ITSM or info@itsmacademy.com.
