ITIL® 2011 Edition Release Announced
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — June 24, 2011 – Yesterday the release date for the new edition of the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) Core Library was announced.
The 2011 edition of the ITIL Core Library will publish on July 29, 2011. Moving forward, the core publications will be referred to simply as ITIL. In order to distinguish between the 2007 and the 2011 editions, the latest edition will carry a ‘2011 Edition’ flash.
The project to update the ITIL 2007 editions and produce the ITIL 2011 editions was a direct result of feedback from users across the globe, and part of an ITIL continual improvement program. The update project was designed to make the publications easier to read and understand, relate more clearly to one another and to correct any anomalies. The project was about clarity, consistency, correctness and completeness. To learn more and to stay up on the latest news, register at:

“As the author of college textbooks, I am constantly looking for opportunities to update and improve those texts. It excites me that the same approach has been taken with the ITIL Core books,” said ITSM Academy’s Content Development Manager, Donna Knapp. “We are very pleased with the updates and are really looking forward to getting the changes incorporated into our courseware.”
